The Lake O’Hara trail system consists of 80 km of trails and alpine routes that provide an outstanding hiking experience. These trails were initially developed in the 1940’s and have been improved upon over the decades. It takes considerable effort and resources to keep them in good condition and the Trails Club undertakes this work in partnership with Parks Canada. If you are interested in our latest accomplishments please have a look at Trail Improvements.
The main funding source for this work is donations from visitors to the area. The Donations and Membership page has more information.
